High School Senior Photography

Senior year marks an important transition—the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Senior portraits offer an opportunity to capture who you are in this moment, before so much begins to change.

My approach to senior photography is relaxed and personal. Rather than trying to fit everyone into the same poses and settings, I want to create photographs that feel natural and reflect something of your individual personality.

A Portrait Session That’s About You

Before we begin, we’ll talk about the kinds of photographs you’d like to create. Clothing, location, interests, and personal style can all become part of the session. You don’t need to know exactly what you want beforehand—we can figure that out together.

During the session, I’ll offer direction when it helps, but I don’t want every photograph to feel carefully posed. Some of the strongest portraits often happen in the moments between poses, when you’re comfortable enough to simply be yourself.

Sessions can take place in the studio, outdoors, or at a location that means something to you. We can also incorporate activities, interests, musical instruments, sports, or other elements that are genuinely part of your life.

Photographs for You—and Your Family

Senior portraits often mean something different to the person being photographed and to the family looking at them.

For a graduating senior, they’re a record of who you are right now. For parents and family, they become a reminder of a time in your life that passes remarkably quickly.

My goal is to create photographs that work on both levels—images that you feel good about today and that your family will value even more as the years go by.

Planning Your Senior Portrait Session

We’ll plan the session around the kinds of photographs you want rather than beginning with a predetermined formula. Afterward, you’ll review your photographs and choose your favorites for finished portraits, prints, and digital images.
